The Lions have signed Danny Amendola to a one year deal worth $5.75 Million for the 2019 season.

The Lions have been looking to fill the hole left by Golden Tate in the middle of last season. Critics and fans of the deal are both saying the same thing. The Lions organization is trying to recreate what the Patriots have already done.

Amendola caught passes from Tom Brady in New England for five seasons before signing with the Dolphins last year.

Amendola is definitely a good hands guy for Stafford over the middle, and he is a decent kick returner. The problem is that most players don't get better when they leave New England.

The deal isn't official until Wednesday, but the Lions are already welcoming Amendola to Detroit on Twitter.

The Lions have a lot of work to do in the draft, but they need to sign some more free agents as well.

Do you think this was a good move for Detroit?
