Man Shot In Battle Creek

A 22 year-old Battle Creek man was the victim of a drive-by shooting, which occurred at 10:30 PM, Saturday evening.

The victim was walking on Capital Avenue near Meachem Avenue, in Battle Creek, when he heard a car pass and several shots coming from the vehicle. He was struck once, in the back.The victim was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle and is in stable condition.

Battle Creek City Police report that there is no suspect information and the investigation is ongoing.
