Whether you think a law is right or not we all have to follow them or pay the consequence.  Well Michigan’s Attorney General Democrat Dana Nessel apparently believes she is above Michigan law.

The Detroit News is reporting that Michigan’s Attorney General Dana Nessel recently gave a speech at a Planned Parenthood of Michigan conference in Lansing concerning abortion laws in Michigan.  AG Nessel stated:

I will never prosecute a woman or her doctor for making the difficult decision to terminate a pregnancy

AG Nessel is Michigan’s top law enforcement officer and she pledged to this group to ignore an existing state law banning abortion if the U.S. Supreme Court reverses its landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

The Michigan law she pledges to ignore has been law in Michigan since 1846.  There was also a 1931 version that would be reactivated if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe.  You should also be aware that back in 1972 Michigan voters rejected an abortion legalization initiative by more than a 20 percentage point margin.

I want to reiterate that my concern is not about the abortion debate or law it is about our elites feeling that they can pick and choose which laws they will follow and prosecute.

Why does this elected leader or any elected leader feel they are above laws any law that they expect us to follow?  Think about this if the tables were turned and state law banned all guns and if caught with a gun you would be thrown in jail.  Would you be upset if the Attorney General of Michigan decided to ignore that law and not prosecute anyone found with a gun in their possession?

At that Planned Parenthood conference in Lansing AG Nessel stated:

Let’s resist…Let’s continue to fight back together, because without reproductive freedom, never again will we really be able to call ourselves the land of the free.

AG Nessel do you believe that the babies in the mother’s womb would consider your land the land of the free?
