When fall comes around what do many people think of? The leaves changing color, cool crisp days, college football, Halloween and some can not wait for the haunted houses and attractions.  Did you know that according to USA Today in its 2019 10 Beat Readers’ Choice Travel Awards Michigan has the #1 haunted hall in the entire United States?

The name of the hall is Erebus Haunted Attraction in Pontiac and they opened their 20th season on Friday, September 13th.

According to reporting by MLive and a news release, the haunted hall has a “4-story fortress of fear” and is world renowned for its “spine-tingling thrills and chills”.

According to their news release the Erebus’ staff has been working year round to create “a playground for your mind” that will “agitate all five of your mortal senses”.

From 2005-2009, Erebus actually held the Guinness World Record for the largest walk-through haunted house.

If you want to check the haunted house out they are open  7:30-10 p.m. from Monday-Thursday; 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 6-11 p.m. on Sunday.

What haunted houses, hall or attractions have you attended in the past that you would recommend to your fellow Michiganders?
