Leaders from Michigan State University and the City of East Lansing are urging fans to celebrate safely as the Michigan State Spartans take on Texas Tech Saturday night in the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four in Minneapolis. MSU Today is reminding students and non-students alike of the many celebration guidelines. For instance, here's a big guideline that you might not be aware of:

Any student found responsible for participating in an unlawful assembly is subject to university sanctions, including expulsion or suspension. Additionally, anyone within 300 feet of an open fire who is not actively leaving the area faces a possible misdemeanor charge, punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine.

If you need some more reminders of what you should and shouldn't do this weekend, check out this Facebook post from the Michigan State University Police Department:

If you need a place to watch the game, Michigan State University will be hosting a party on Saturday night at Munn Ice Arena. Doors for the watch party will open at 8 p.m.
