Mike Rowe: ‘Employers Don’t Care About Safety’

Does your boss really care about your safety?

Mike Rowe, who you likely know from the hit TV series Dirty Jobs, recently told a fan that he has found some employers may not put their employees' safety first.

Rowe told "suzemommy" on the website Profoundly Disconnected, "In the jobs I have seen thus far, I can tell you with certainty, that safety, while always a major consideration, is never the priority. Never. Never, ever. Not even once."

My take is a little different.   I think a company's top priority should be to make a profit.   But that means taking great care of employees.  Any good company just does that.   But to say it should be a company's top priority is putting the cart before the horse.
