The Miles for Memories Community Stroll is this Saturday morning in Downtown Battle creek with two paths.

Who: The entire community!  Adult foster care homes, assisted living or skilled nursing facilities, care givers, friends and loved ones - anyone who would like to join us is invited to attend.

What:  The fun walk which is a shorter journey begins at approximately 10:00 a.m while the longer path (approximately 1 mile) begins at approximately 10:10 a.m

When:  September 15, 2018

Where:  Wave Square in downtown Battle Creek, the corner of Michigan and McCamly

Registration:  Starts at 9:00 a.m.

What you can expect:  There will be many fun activities such as rock painting, canvas painting, drumming, a DJ with music and dancing, a hot dog roast, a photo booth and access to services to help with the journey.

Our hope and belief is when we can come together as a community, provide some fun and activities, we discover we don't have to face this journey by ourselves and we are not alone.  We are here so together we can focus on the positive side of a condition that is one of the fastest growing conditions of our time.

Miles for Memories is a community project which began raising funds to help with education, programs and activities to assistance those who have been diagnosed with a dementia condition as well as the family caregiver - or anyone who's helping on the journey.  The money stays here in Calhoun County (housed at the BC Community Foundation) while also helping in state research around dementia.
