If you are heading to Michigan International Speedway for the races this weekend be aware that new traffic patterns will be in place.

According to M-Live,  the pattern is changing slightly to make it easier for Eastbound traffic to get into the track.

One of the differences from the past few years is that westbound traffic will be able to access lots 10 and 12 on US-12. Brooklyn Road will also be closed between US-12 and Taylor Road.

The patterns will shift to outbound traffic when each race has 50 laps remaining.   If you have the Waze app you can put in which lot you want to park in. The app will direct you to that lot depending on the traffic pattern in place.

The August race weekend will feature the NASCAR practice and qualifying on Friday. The Corrigan Oil 200 truck race on Saturday and the Consumers Energy 400 on Sunday.

You can get more details on the updated traffic patterns for the race weekend here.   You can also check out Michigan International Speedway for details on the weekend events.
