It was an unusual site for early risers Wednesday morning: a lunar eclipse and blood moon.

"My mother called me at 6:15am," one friend told me. "'Go look at the moon!' she said. I think I had one eye open and the toothbrush in my mouth. I thought it was an emergency she was calling about," he joked.

It may have been unusual, though we will see more blood moons in the coming months. Some people live their whole lives without seeing them, though. Here's a CNN report on when we'll see them again:
