The Michigan Department of Natural Resources recently found over 50 dead fish in what is being investigated as a poaching case in Muskegon County. Officers located a green Coleman cooler on the side of a road in Cedar Creek Township and are hoping there are anglers from the area who might be able to identify who it belongs to.

It was found Monday near the corner of River Road and Holton-Duck Lake Road. Scattered around the cooler were 53 filleted walleye carcasses. To put it in perspective, only five, 15-inch walleye are allowed for the legal daily limit. The fish appear to have been caught around April 4th or 5th.
