The Venus Foundation Missing Persons Division along with K9 HRD (human remains detection) search teams conducted a ground search for Mary Lands in Tekonsha, MI, Sunday, June 9th.

Over the last few months the Venus team received two separate tips regarding the same location in southern Calhoun County in regards to the disappearance of Mary Lands.

The group then organized team members and set a date, made appropriate calls to gain access and permissions to search the area in effort to locate Mary's remains.

Despite the wet weather conditions the group conducted a thorough search of the area. Sadly, they were unable to locate Mary's remains in that location.

In a press release from the Venus Foundation Missing Persons Division they said despite not locating Mary Lands...

We will, however, never give up on any of Michigan's Missing Persons.

Lands was 39 years old when she disappeared on March 12th in 2004. Mary was declared dead in 2011 even though her body has never been found. No one has been charged in connection to her death and the investigation is still considered ongoing.

Mary was reportedly last seen at approximately 10:30 p.m. walking away from her residence in the vicinity of the 1200 block of Arms St. in Marshall, MI. This information was from her live-in boyfriend, Chris Pratt. It was reported that they had been arguing, and she left. It was 20 degrees and she was wearing medical scrubs and a brown leather jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Marshall Police Department at 269-781-2596.
