For many decades, the Ford Ranger was an iconic portion of the Ford lineup, serving as the more compact alternative to the popular F-150. It allowed for much of the benefits of owning a pickup truck, in a smaller, easier to handle package.

It was loved by many, including myself, but after the 2012 model year Ford decided to pull the plug. So when Ford announced in 2017 that it was going to make a comeback, many people were excited. Well, for the 2019 model year, the Ranger is here!

The 2019 Ford Ranger XLT Supercrew 4x4 was the model we checked out here on Nico’s New Rides, and it is a little different from the original concept. The previous Ranger was a compact pickup, one of the smallest on the market, but as people desire bigger and more capable vehicles the new Ranger was made to be mid-sized. The one we drove has enough room to seat five comfortably, while also bringing along supplies for something like camping. The bed in the Supercrew is five feet long, plenty for a tent, cooler, sleeping bags, or whatever else you need to bring!

One thing the 2019 Ranger also doesn’t compromise on is comfort. The bucket seats up front give you an authoritative view of the road, while the seats in the back can accommodate adults easily. You also get all the latest technology, including the SYNC 3 system, a lane monitoring system, engine auto start-stop, and remote start for those cold mornings.

For those of us who think a larger pickup like the F-150 is too much to handle, the 2019 Ford Ranger XLT Supercrew 4x4 presents a great alternative! Check out the video to see more and get a tour of the vehicle!
