Old Chicago On Westnedge Has Permanently Closed

Sad news for those of you who were fans of Old Chicago on Westnedge in Portage. They have officially closed their doors for good. A few inquiries were made on the Vanished Kalamazoo Facebook page regarding a conversation that was overheard about them possibly closing for maintenance, but a note posted on the front doors of Old Chicago has left no doubt they're done, reading:

Dear Valued Old Chicago Guest:
We regret to inform you that this location has been permanently closed. We thank you for the years of patronage and fun. Please see us again at any of the other Old Chicago Michigan locations.
Old Chicago was originally based in Chicago, and offers a wide variety of Italian inspired dishes, including pizzas, calzones, and pastas along with a huge beer selection, burgers, salads, and appetizers. Guests of the restaurant are bumming hardcore about their closing. Good luck to all the staff who showed up to work to find a locked door.
