Police Catch Suspect in Presents Theft

Kalamazoo Police say they caught a teenager last night stealing Christmas Presents.  A man called Police shortly after 9, saying he had caught the teen in a neighbors driveway on Sherwood Avenue opening Christmas presents that had been taken from inside.  The man said that when he confronted the teen, he picked up a bag of gifts and a pistol and ran off.  A K-9 team tracked the suspect to the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home where he was caught attempting to climb the fence.  Police found the stolen gifts and a fake handgun stashed nearby and took the 14-year-old in to the juvenile home pending charges.
