Police Search For Woman Behind Cigarette Thefts

Store clerks in the Battle Creek area are being warned about a woman stealing large amounts of cigarettes.

The Battle Creek Police Department says that the woman asks for several cartons of cigarettes and then asks for an additional item and runs out with the cartons when the clerk’s back is turned.

The woman is described as being in her mid to late 30’s, black, heavy-set, and riding in an early 2000’s Chevy Malibu.
