Michigan Selling Pontiac Silverdome Highway Exit Signs
There is a unique lingering piece of Pontiac Sliverdome history and the state of Michigan is putting it up for auction.
Two highway signs that once alerted drivers along I-75 to the Silverdome exit will be auctioned off by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The auction runs September 10-24. Generally old signs are recycled by the DOT, but the Auburn Hills MDOT garage said there was considerable interest in these old signs.
two aluminum signs are each roughly 7 feet by 14 feet, weigh approximately 225 pounds, and are in good condition.
If you want to consider placing a bid one the state's surplus auction site, MiBid.
The Pontiac Silverdome was demolished in November of 2017.
