Pulverizing And Repaving Set To Begin Sept. 26 In Battle Creek

We’re going to see a new set of streets under construction in Battle Creek starting Monday.

In a release, the City of Battle Creek says that the affected streets will be pulverized, which completely removes the asphalt all the way to the gravel, and then repaved.

Dane Court, Elsinore Lane, and North Monroe St. from Van Buren Street to the south will remain open, but you should expect delays; as well, cars parked on the street will be towed.

Huntington Boulevard from Gethings Road to Abbington Circle will be completely closed off while work takes place, as a water main will be replaced.

The work should be complete by October 24, weather permitting.
