After tornadoes and heavy thunderstorms in some parts of Michigan Monday, the National Weather Service forecast for Battle Creek promises quieter weather over the next several days.

The risk of severe weather is removed from the forecast, with rain only a factor on Thursday. Still, a flood warning remains in effect until late morning Tuesday for some parts of the area.

High temperatures are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 70's and near 80.
