Recall Bid In Flint, Michigan
A recall election is on its way to the city of Flint, this week. The Associated Press reports, that Karen Weaver became mayor of Flint two years ago, while arguing that her predecessor had bungled the response to the city’s lead-contaminated water crisis. But now, seventeen other people believe they can do a better job. The official reason given for Tuesday’s recall election bid was Weaver’s decision to hire a Detroit-area trash hauler that became connected to a corruption investigation. However, troubles caused by Flint’s switch to a cheaper water source are on everybody’s minds.
