Red Wings Goaltender Jimmy Howard Nominated For King Clancy Trophy

Red Wings Goaltender, Jimmy Howard appeared in the 2019  All Star Game and has now earned a nomination for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.

According to the NHL, Howard was the Red Wings nominee for the award which has a player from each team nominated.

The award is awarded  "to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice,  and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community".

Howard and the rest of the NHL nominees will find out who the three finalists for the award are on April 23rd.

The winner will be announced along with the rest of the NHL Awards in Las Vegas On June 19th.

Niklas Kronwall of the Red Wings was nominated for the Masterton Trophy.  The award will also have three finalists named before the NHL Awards.
