Representative Matt Hall to Chair House Oversight Committee
State Rep. Matt Hall of Emmett Township will chair the House Oversight Committee for the 2019-2020 legislative term.
Hall is currently in his first term representing the 63rd House District, which encompasses southern and central Calhoun County and eastern Kalamazoo County.
The Oversight Committee will handle issues involving state government, including reviewing audit reports released by the Auditor General and legislation addressing governance of the Legislature and state departments and agencies.
“I’m honored to lead the deliberation process for government efficiency and transparency,” Hall said. “Under my leadership, the Oversight Committee will work to hold state government accountable and ensure hard-working taxpayers are receiving the quality services they deserve.”
Hall also has been appointed to serve on the House Tax Policy, Regulatory Reform and Education committees during the 2019-2020 legislative session.
Hall will make his first appearance as a State House member on Monday's 95.3 WBCK Morning Show with Tim Collins, following the 8 O'clock news.
