Road Rage Results In Arrest

A case of road rage on I-94, Wednesday, resulted in a 41 year-old Battle Creek man being arrested for unlawful discharge of a firearm.

The incident began on eastbound I-94, and continued when both vehicles exited the interstate at the Beckley Road exit. As one subject approached the second vehicle, the driver in the second vehicle shot one round off and then fled the scene.

The rage continued as the vehicles pursued each other until they spotted a Battle Creek Police patrol car. Both of the vehicle occupants made contact with the officer resulting in the gunman being arrested.

The case is being forwarded to the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office.
