Roofsit 2015 was a soggy one, but we raised more than $44,000 for Calhoun County’s Shelter for Homeless Families, Inasmuch House.

There are so many to thank, that we’ll almost certainly miss a few. Thanks to everyone who gave money by calling in to our Roofsit phone lines.  We thank Stan and his people from the Ellwell Salon for manning the phone lines again and answering the old WBCK Red “Batphone”.

And also thanks to everyone who gave to the bucket brigade volunteers who were standing in the rail a lot of the time at locations around Calhoun County. Thanks to those dedicated volunteers too.  It’s not easy! Bucket brigades were organized by Keith, Cherie and Remiero from the TJ Maxx Store at Harper Village.

One special thanks to 9-year-old Carter Riley, a 5th grader at Dunlap Elementary, who worked extra household chores, cleaning and vacuuming and brushing the dog. Carter earned $7.00 and brought it all up to the roof to hand it over personally to Haven of Rest Executive Director Elaine Hunsicker and Kelley Parish of Inasmuch House.

Pizza Hut was a gracious host this year.  Thanks to Jack and Carla for the use of your roof and bathroom!  (And for the delicious pizza).

Auctioneer Jim Vitelli brought in some great items to be auctioned off on Saturday morning.

Special thanks to the Ladies of Harley, Battle Creek Harley Davidson.
