This is the 11th year The Haven of Rest and Townsquare Media/95.3 WBCK and 104.9 The Edge have partnered to raise awareness and funds for Battle Creek's only homeless shelter that keeps families together: Inasmuch House.

Click the player above to hear more from The Haven's Daniel Jones. Also joining us is Crystal; she and her children are current residents at Inasmuch House and she will explain how the shelter has helped her.

This Year's Goal

$50,000 (approximately 25 percent of the overall annual budget). Roofsits over the last 10 years have raised more than $350,000 for Inasmuch House.

How to Donate

Phone in a pledge during Roofsit broadcast hours. Or, when you see one of the many "Bucket Brigade" locations around town, drop a donation in a green bucket. Volunteers in bright green Roofsit shirts take buckets and man strategic locations. Local businesses will make donations and issue challenges to similar business categories to match their donation amounts.

What Is Inasmuch House?

Roofsit donations go to Inasmuch House, a family shelter for those who need temporary housing until they get back on their feet (usually 60-90 days). The Inasmuch program at The Haven keeps families living together as a unit if they have become homeless. While there, families work with a case worker who helps them address the root causes of their situation, as well as access services and assistance that ultimately allows them to realize a path to self-sufficiency.

Thank you for your support!
