The search for the next president of Kellogg Community College has officially begun.

The Board of Trustees selected the Pauly Group of Illinois to assist in the search for KCC’s ninth leader of the college and sixth as president. The firm was hired during a special board meeting July 30th. The firm will accept applicant materials and recruit candidates for the role.

Applications will be accepted until September 23rd, followed by a screening done by a committee of three trustees, along with institutional and community representatives. The interviews are expected in October with the final selection in November.

Current KCC President Mark O’Connell announced in May that he will be retiring at the end of 2019. He took on the role in the interim in March of 2015 following the retirement of Dr. Dennis Bona. He was already in the position of Vice President of Administration and Finance, later hired in 2016. He has worked at KCC in several roles since 1990.
