If you're like me, you have what seems like a ton of papers that need to hit the circular file. But, when you look at them, you decide they need to be shredded because they contain sensitive information. In my house, that means I put them in a box or a bag where they pile up for months and months!

That's mostly because the prospect of sitting over an office shredder for a couple of hours feeding papers in (and clearing the paper jams!) sounds like a raucous good time (not!).

There is an easier way. The seventh annual Battle Creek Shred Day is set for this Saturday, April 18 from 10am to noon in the parking lot behind Commerce Point in downtown Battle Creek. Up to five boxes of paper with sensitive material ready for shredding may be brought per person. There is no charge, though the organizers ask that folks bring  a non-perishable food item to benefit the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.

Then, you can head over to Battle Creek's Largest Garage Sale!
