Sports: Red Wings Fall to Lightning, 3-2
The Red Wings lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 Monday night at Little Caesar’s Arena. The Wings were behind 2-0 but pulled even at 2 in the second period. Justin Abdelkader and Mike Green scored for the Red Wings. Nikita Kucherov scored his second goal of the game snapping a 2-2 tie, beating Jimmy Howard on a deflection early in the third period. Jimmy Howard made 23 saves and suffered his first loss of the season. Detroit travels to Toronto for their next game on Wednesday night. They host the Capitals on Friday in Detroit.
Baseball Playoffs
The Yankees finally get a win, 8-1 over the Astros on Monday night in the Bronx. The Astros lead the Yankees two games to 1. Todd Frazier and Aaron Judge hit three-run homers to give starter C.C. Sabathia plenty of runs to work with. Houston starter Charlie Morton was tagged for seven runs over 3 2/3 innings. Game 4 is today at 5 in New York. Sonny Gray starts for the Yanks. The Astros will go with Lance McCullers.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are in Chicago for Game 3 tonight at Wrigley Field. Yu Darvish will start for the Dodgers in Game 3 against Kyle Hendricks as the Cubs try to get back in the series. Los Angeles took the first two games at home.
NFL
The Tennessee Titans scored two touchdowns over the final 5:29 to get a 36-22 win to end their 11-game losing streak against Indianapolis.
Lions
The Lions are off next weekend. They’re 3-3 and third in the NFC North.
Rodgers Has Surgery
Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy says quarterback Aaron Rodgers will have surgery on his broken right collarbone, and that his season could be over. Brett Hundley is now the starting quarterback, with Joe Callahan promoted from the practice squad to serve as the backup. McCarthy strongly dismissed suggestions that the Packers could sign Colin Kaepernick.
Pistons
The Pistons host the Hornets on Wednesday night at Little Caesar’s Arena.
LeBron Status Unclear
The NBA season starts tonight and the Cavs’ LeBron James' playing status against Boston remains unclear. James has been bothered by a sprained left ankle for more than two weeks. The Cavaliers take on the Celtics and Kyrie Irving, the former Cleveland star, who asked to be traded this summer.

MSU has homecoming this Saturday as they welcome in Indiana. Indiana is 3-3. 2pm on 95.3 WBCK.
Michigan is at #2 ranked Penn State on Saturday night, 6:30pm on 104.9 the Edge.

Tiger Woods Cleared to Practice
Tiger Woods apparently is a step closer to returning to competition. His agent says the former world No. 1 golfer has been cleared by doctors to practice without limitations. Woods has not played since withdrawing from the Dubai Desert Classic on February 3rd and had his fourth back surgery two months later.
Elliot Back to Court
Ezekiel Elliott's legal team is ready to resume its fight to overturn his six-game suspension over domestic violence allegations. Last year's NFL rushing leader is suspended for Sunday's game at San Francisco after a federal appeals court overturned an injunction that had allowed him to play this season.
