A street in Battle Creek will be closed while work on the railroad tracks takes place.

The City says that starting Monday, October 16, McCamly St. between Dickman and Hamblin will be closed as the median near the railroad track is worked on. This work is a part of the ongoing effort to make crossings safer in the city’s quiet zone, where trains are prohibited from blowing horns.

The closure is expected to stay in place through Wednesday, weather permitting.
