Suspect Arrested After Standoff In Battle Creek

Police in Battle Creek arrested an armed man who had barricaded himself in a house with four children following a neighborhood dispute last night.

Investigators say the argument had been escalating for some time before one of those involved pulled a gun and fired a shot into the air.

When officers got to the scene, several people ran into a house and refused to come out.

Three individuals eventually surrendered but the armed man, who had a warrant out for his arrest, still refused to come out.

After a search warrant was issued, the SWAT Team forced their way into the house and captured the suspect.

There were no injuries reported.
