Calhoun County Sheriff deputies arrested two men in connection with a vehicle break-in that took place in the 200 block of Lyon Lake Road in Fredonia Township, Thursday night.

A resident reported that several credit cards and Identification had been stolen from the vehicle. The Deputies learned that the victim's credit cards were fraudulently used at Meijer and a Walmart in Emmett Township plus other retail outlets in the greater Battle Creek area.

An investigation revealed that two men were involved and a 26 year-old Ceresco man was arrested, Friday, in the 8000 block of D Drive South, in Newton Township, and charged with three counts of fraudulent use of a financial transaction device and one count of possession of a stolen financial transaction device. A charge of possession of heroin is pending.

A second suspect was arrested, Saturday afternoon, in the 100 block of Doster Drive, in Battle Creek. The 41 year-old man was found hiding in a basement and charges are pending for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, possession of burglar tools, receiving stolen property, identity theft, vehicle theft, fraudulent use of a financial transaction, organized retail fraud and elder abuse.

Both men are lodged in the Calhoun County Jail.
