Allegan County Animal Shelter

Allegan County must find homes for dozens of animals as soon possible.

The Allegan County Animal Shelter is sending out an urgent plea to help get a dog in their shelter a forever home, or at least into a foster home.

Meet Rudy. Rudy has spent the last 340 days at the Allegan County Animal Shelter, waiting for his very own forever home. This boy is getting ready to celebrate his 4th birthday on October 28th and has started getting depressed waiting so long to find his forever family.

A program at the Allegan County Jail teaches women in the Re-entry Unit how to crochet with blankets made going to area shelters to comfort animals while they wait for their new homes.
