Battle Creek City Police

Battle Creek Police were keeping a close eye on the smart camera surveillance system when they busted two downtown thieves.

Detectives developed information that tied a Pennsylvania murder suspect to the disappearance and assumed death of Ashley Parlier. She was 21 when she vanished from the Battle Creek area in 2005.

Investigators are alerting the public that search team members, including K9 units, will be searching numerous areas in an attempt to recover the body of Amber Griffin.

The Battle Creek Police Department is holding a free seminar on the Community Emergency Response Team. The three day seminar trains and organizes teams of volunteers that can support their communities during disasters.
