A broad-based coalition of public interest groups and energy activists in Michigan is calling for public hearings addressing the long-range plans of Consumers Energy.
Consumers Energy is estimating the wind farm will be able to cover the energy needs of as many as 58,000 residents. As long as the winds remain steady enough to keep the turbine blades moving.
