Michigan State Police Trooper Mark Fletcher has been named Trooper of the Year for his selfless and heroic action during a deadly 2019 Comstock home invasion.

A hostage incident has left three law enforcement officers with gunshot wounds and one victim dead. This was one of two incidents that proved to be dangerous for law enforcement officers in Kalamazoo and Calhoun County over the long holiday weekend.
