Michigan officials are doing what they can to help prevent the spread of this disease by approving a series of deer hunting regulations intended to slow the spread of chronic wasting disease, which will affect Calhoun County
A package of bills introduced in the Michigan House Tuesday and co-sponsored by Battle Creek representative Dr. John Bizon would relax some hunting regulations. The primary sponsor for the bills is Rep. Steve Johnson from Allegan County.
Michigan’s State House of Representative’s passed a resolution, via voice vote with apparently no debate, which asked the state’s Natural Resources Commission to establish a Sandhill Crane hunting season in Michigan.
