The parents of two toddlers in Ohio are wanted after abandoning their children and home. One Child was locked in a cage, while the other was found by Police walking around the home with a meth pipe.

Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputies made four arrests after serving two search warrants and recovering an ounce of methamphetamine.

The incident started around 11:45pm Saturday, as a Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Capital Ave. near Bailey Park for a traffic violation.

The traffic stop led to the discovery of suspected meth, drug paraphernalia, a set of police keys, as well as funeral ashes.

The chase began after Emmett Township officers were called to a medical emergency, but the driver sped off when they arrived, reportedly striking a medic on the scene.

These arrests are the culmination of a six month investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine into Michigan; it’s alleged that over 400 pounds of meth was brought into the area from California over the past two years, with a large portion of that product being manufactured in Mexico.

Three Michigan House bills would add drugs containing ephedrine and pseudoephedrine to the definition of “prescription drugs” in Michigan law.

Authorities say that the ring was in charge of a scheme to distribute and sell meth in west Michigan, and nearly 17 pounds of meth and five firearms have been seized as a result.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says they received a tip that a methamphetamine lab was located at a residence in the 900 block of Capital Ave. NE in Pennfield Township. As a result of the tip, Sheriff's Deputies executed a search warrant to the residence around 3am Monday.
