Michigan State Senators may open debate later this week on a plan just approved by the State House to allow local communities to let bars stay open until 4 am.
Majority Republicans in both the State House of Representatives and the State Senate concluded a lawsuit was the only remedy to the impasse with the Governor over the extended shutdown that has crippled the state’s economy.
The Michigan State House of Representatives, controlled by majority Republicans, led the way yesterday. The House is refusing to extend the Governor’s emergency declaration and shutdown order.
