The 104th annual National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series kicked off Wednesday at C.O. Brown Stadium featuring the local hosts and the defending champs.

It may have been an off day for the Battle Creek Bombers, but three members of the squad excelled at the Northwoods League's Big League Showcase in Madison, Wisconsin Tuesday.
