A royal tradition dating back to 1135, sea lamprey pie was served for Queen Elizabeth II. Invasive to the Great Lakes, sea lamprey has been shipped overseas for this royal delicacy.

The sea lamprey does not belong in the Great Lakes. However, they've been feasting on fish in Lake Michigan for decades.

It's Shark Week and while we can't get out into our own state's waters to see them in all their glory, these creatures are the closest we're going to get!
