Outgoing State House Speaker Lee Chatfield and Speaker-Elect Jason Wentworth issued a joint statement shortly after reviewing Eisen’s radio interview, starting off with the terse revelation that Eisen no longer has a seat at any statehouse committee through the balance of the term.

The Republican lawmakers are joined by medical professionals from around the state proposing a more local approach to virus-related control decisions.

The legislation would stop the practice of forcing nursing and long-term care facilities to accept new or returning residents who’ve already tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
