The City of Battle Creek says that from now until February 1, Waste Management will be picking up Christmas trees from the curbside.

Christmas may now be over, but you still have a little bit of time before you will need to get rid of your tree if you want the city’s help. The City of Battle Creek says that their curbside pickup program for fresh Christmas trees began on Tuesday, and will run through February 2.

The City of Battle Creek says that their offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, and that Battle Creek Transit and Waste Management Services won’t be available on Thanksgiving Day. Normal Transit services will resume on Friday, and Waste Management will be operating on a "one-day pickup delay" for the remainder of the week.

Next week, City of Battle Creek residents will be able to put out construction waste for pickup by Waste Management. The City says that their Annual Fall Cleanup runs from Monday to Friday, and will allow residents to put out up to 10 cubic yards of the waste on their normal trash pickup day for free.
