Snow showers will taper off to flurries as we head into Tuesday, but bitter temperatures that could break records are on the way.

With the winter season on the horizon in the Great Lakes region, citizens should make emergency preparedness a priority.

Snow is making a comeback to lower Michigan.  Be prepared to leave a little early for work and school Tuesday Morning.

The Winter Storm Watch for Kalamazoo County has now been upgraded to a warning.  A few things you should know below.

The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Grand Rapids is calling for "hazardous weather," as it issued a winter weather storm warning for southwest Michigan that remains in effect through 6 a.m. Monday. Another snowy drive is in the offing for motorists around Battle Creek - more so to the west, with a early-morning Winter Weather Advisory issued for Kalamazoo County. Travelers will likely need some extra time to reach destinations again today, and perhaps for the next few mornings, with the promise of additional accumulations through Friday...

Much of the east coast and New England will be buried in snow thanks to a winter storm that is already causing havoc for holiday travelers. USA Today reports hundreds of flights for Wednesday were cancelled before the snow even started...

The National Weather Service forecast is calling for a few more inches of snow in Calhoun County on Thursday, even suggesting it would start Wednesday evening. So far, as of 4am, the snow hasn't amounted to more than scattered flurries in most areas...
