When you ask Keith Williamson if this time of year is any more difficult or easy than others when it comes to feeding the hungry, he's quick with his response.

"The entire year is challenging," he said.

But, Williamson - executive director of the Food Bank of South Central Michigan - tells The Richard Piet Show a "Food Raiser Task Force" of community members is working to keep the issue front-and-center with the community.

In fact, a number of activities are in the works to help keep non-perishable food items coming in to the food bank. We learn more about what they are in our discussion, as well as what food items the food bank can really use.
