An Emmett Township teen was arrested after stealing a vehicle, fleeing police and crashing into multiple vehicles at a Battle Creek car dealership.

Calhoun County Sheriff Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Washington Avenue near West Emmett Street in the City of Battle Creek.  The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle that had just been stolen out of Emmett Township.  The deputy was able to identify that the registration plate matched that of the stolen vehicle.  After the deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the teen tried to flee in the stolen vehicle. The vehicle then crashed into five parked vehicles in the DeMaagd GMC Nissan car dealership at the intersection of West Dickman Road and North Washington Avenue.

The female driver of the vehicle was found to be a 17 year old Emmett Township resident.  She was lodged at the Calhoun County Correctional Facility for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Fleeing and Eluding.
