We've chronicled both on this site and on the airwaves the many ways The Fire Hub on Kendall and Dickman in Battle Creek has given back to the community.  First and foremost as a food pantry providing for those who can't themselves, growing food on and off site to be used in area schools and The Fire Hub itself with one of the best menus and coolest places to eat.  An annual gathering is coming up next week and it sure has something to do with food.

Amber Ballard and Jim Wise from FireKeepers Casino Hotel let us know that, once again this year, The Fire Hub will be serving a traditional meal to people who wouldn't otherwise get to have a Thanksgiving meal.  In cooperation with South Michigan Food Bank and the Haven of Rest Ministries, The Fire Hub staff, with support from the Culinary team at FireKeepers Casino Hotel, plans to be able to feed at least 500 guests. Anyone interested in volunteering or coming out for a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day can call The Fire Hub at 269.753.0065
