The Haven Gears Up For Year’s End

The Haven of Rest shelter in Battle Creek, and its Inasmuch House unit, are in the midst of a final fundraising push for the year. As well, Haven staff is calling attention to the needs of the people they serve - in particular, those needs which are amplified as winter temperatures settle in.

Among The Haven's special programs:

• W.O.W. - Words of Warmth - an effort to collect new or gently used hats, gloves and scarves and a note card. Click the video link below to hear Daniel and Elaine from The Haven explain it.
• Lady in Red 2015 - Saturday, December 5 from 4-8 p.m. at Chris Edwards Salon on 6th Avenue in Battle Creek: A special event for ladies including things like eyebrow waxing, hand and foot massages, etc. A ticket ($20/$25) helps support The Haven's Women's Life Recovery Program.
