Think Summer! It’s our only hope.
It’s hard to even imagine right now, with the evil vortex pushing any scrap of heat out of here. So, about all I can do is think about Summer.
It won’t be long, and we’ll be up on a hot roof to raise money for homeless families in Battle Creek. The Bombers will be playing ball at C.O. Brown Stadium, and they’ll be serving up free breakfast at the Cereal Festival at the World’s Longest Breakfast table, and the Balloons will be flying overhead.
What else can you just not wait for? Let us know and help us think “warm thoughts.”
Oh, by the way, here’s another thing: The 31st annual Chicago Blues Festival, “Blues by the Lake”. It’s June 13-15 in Grant Park.
The Chicago Blues Festival is FREE admission and open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. A special tribute and centennial celebration honoring John Lee “Sonny Boy” Williamson happens on Friday June 13 , performed by a group of musicians influenced by his harmonica “crossed-harp” style.
