I'm not really sure what the answer is. I'm not trying to be funny here, but the City of Kalamazoo spending $107,000 on a public toilet does seem a bit pricey.

I was just looking through Twitter and saw this story MLive did earlier in May.

Considering all the other head scratching things the City and its residents are doing, this is really not all that odd.

I mean, they are going out of their way to make it harder to get across town, which leads to increased road rage, and now this, a rather hefty price tag for a public toilet.

I guess every American should have access to a toilet, but moving back to outdoor plumbing seems like a step backwards. Didn't we start out with outhouses, and then worked our way inside to indoor plumbing. Is this just another example of businesses not wanting people wandering in to use the facilities without dropping some coin in the store? There's a history of that, downtown; public relations be damned.

But still, $107,000. Do the seat warmers cost extra?
