Traffic Sign Conversations

Along with the development of self-driving cars, the state of Michigan is pioneering signs that will “talk” directly to them. The Detroit News reports that the features are the building blocks that will eventually guide self-driving cars to their destinations. The technology may have practical uses for current generation cars as well. General Motors Company is currently testing a safety feature in Macomb County that will warn drivers when traffic signals are about to turn red.
