Traffic Stop Turns Up Handgun, Marijuana In Homer Township
An arrest was made Wednesay morning in Calhoun County, after a traffic stop on a suspect in a Christmas Eve shooting turned up drugs.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that on December 24, a vehicle in the driveway of a Homer Township residence was shot; no one was hurt in the shooting.
On Wednesday, a traffic stop was conducted along P Drive S. near 28 ½ Mile Rd, on a car suspected of being involved in the shooting. Inside the car, Sheriff’s Deputies found a handgun, open alcohol and marijuana. A 26-year-old man from Union City was arrested on charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
